Dartmouth began the weekend with a home matchup against Columbia (7-6, 4-1 Ivy) on Saturday. Ali Savage '15 started strong, scoring a goal for the Big Green less than two minutes into the match. The goal was Savage's 11th of the season, tying her with Hood for the team lead.

The personal triumph for Savage would mark Dartmouth's last lead of the day, however, and Columbia led by a 3-1 margin at halftime.

A glimmer of hope came for the Big Green after halftime, when Sam Anderson '14 tallied Dartmouth's second goal of the game and her second goal of the season. After the Lions added another goal to increase their lead to 4-2, Dartmouth head coach Amy Fowler pulled goalkeeper Jenna Stearns '13 from the game in favor of an additional attacker. The move failed to produce another goal, however, and Dartmouth lost, 4-2.

Hood said Dartmouth could have performed better offensively on Saturday.

"Against Columbia, we didn't finish on all of the opportunities that we could have," she said. "We just couldn't find a way to score, which was really frustrating. We didn't capitalize on a lot of those opportunities."

Dartmouth's play improved signficantly against Boston College (10-7, 1-3 ACC) on Sunday. The back and forth matchup against the Eagles began with two quick goals, with Anna Wetherall, a Boston College graduate student, scoring first for the Eagles before Janine Leger '15 tied the game for Dartmouth in the 12th minute.

"On Saturday playing Columbia, we felt very disconnected on both offense and defense," co-captain Kerry Bracco '12 said. "[Sunday], we did a much better job of connecting with each other. Although we lost, we were proud of how we played against [Boston College]."

Boston College soon took the lead with two quick goals, but Hood retaliated with her first score of the game on an assist by Lisa Masini '13 and Maya Herm '13. The Eagles entered the half winning 3-2.

The scoring volleys continued in the second half, as both Hood and Wetherall scored their second and third goals of the game.

"It's pretty unusual to have one from each team," Bracco said, referring to the two hat tricks. "I don't think I've ever played in a game that's ever had that. Kelly did a really good job today."

Dartmouth wore pink on its uniforms this weekend in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness month. To show their support, players sported pink hair ribbons on Saturday and pink knee socks on Sunday.

The Big Green plays Harvard University on Saturday. The Crimson (8-6, 3-2 Ivy) is tied with Dartmouth for fourth place in the League.

"It should be another good game," Bracco said. "They're a very skilled team, so we're going to do what we always do scout the team and go in with a lot of momentum. We're definitely looking to redeem ourselves from the Columbia game and put on a good performance."

Hood said the team hopes to improve its position in the League, as it faces a team of a similar League ranking.

"We are just trying to regroup in the Ivy League," she said. "We just lost two Ivy League games and we know that these next two are critical."

The team plays Harvard at 1 p.m. on Saturday, before finishing its season at home against Cornell University on Nov. 6.
