Two Big Green women's hockey players, Jenna Hobeika '12 and Lindsay Holdcroft '14, were presented with Eastern College Athletic Conference awards this past week, according to DartmouthSports.com. Hobeika was named the MLX Skates Player of the Week and Holdcroft earned the MLX Skates Rookie of the Week award. In their two-game sweep over the University of Connecticut last weekend, Hobeika recorded two goals and three assists, bringing her season point total to 10. During this series, Holdcroft won her first career shutout and improved her season record to 5-3.
Women's tennis players Molly Scott '11 and Melissa Matsuoka '14 received spots in the January 2011 national and regional tennis rankings, according to DartmouthSports.com. Scott, who is ranked 94th in the nation, attained the fourth spot in the Northeast Region the second highest ranking among Ivy League players in singles. Scott and Matsuoka both earned the sixth ranking in the Northeast Region in doubles.
