May 8, 12:27 p.m.

Rope Ferry Road

A Dartmouth student reported to Safety and Security that his credit card number had been stolen and used to make fraudulent purchases. The card had allegedly been used to purchase several airline tickets on Cebu Pacific Air to fly from the Philippines to various locations in East Asia. The student told Safety and Security that he had lost his wallet in Berry Library, but that the information desk had returned it to him without anything missing. Two days later, he received a call from Bank of America alerting him of the unusual purchases, at which point he canceled his credit card.

May 8, 10:31 p.m.

East Wheelock Street

Hanover Police received a call from a private residence about a burglary in progress. Police arrived to find the suspect lying intoxicated on the caller's driveway, at which point he was arrested and brought to the police station. The man identified himself as a 25-year-old Dartmouth alumnus. Police have not yet decided whether to charge him.

May 9, 3:12 p.m.

Low Road

Hanover Police received a call about a burglary that had occurred at a private residence between 12:00 and 2:00 p.m. The thief had stolen three laptop computers, several golf clubs, two cameras, a video game console, a drum set and an electric piano. Police are still investigating the case.

May 9, 8:18 p.m.

College Street

Hanover Police responded to a call reporting that a car had crashed into a concrete wall near the Fayerweather residence halls. Both Hanover Police and Safety and Security attempted to arrest the driver, a 23-year-old Dartmouth student, for driving while intoxicated, but he began to fight with the officers. The man was subdued and arrested, and a police officer received a minor scrape on his knuckles. The student was charged with a DWI and resisting arrest. His court date has been set for July 6.

May 14, 2:38 a.m.

West Wheelock Street

A 36-year-old man was arrested outside of 28 West Wheelock St. for suspicious activity. The man, who was intoxicated, knocked on the doors of several residents and asked to use their telephones. He is suspected of being a "peeper" who looks into the windows of homes with female residents and has been detained by police several times before. He is not in custody, and police have warned residents to be on the alert for suspicious activity.
