Choate Road
Hanover Police received a complaint from the Women's Resource Center regarding a suspicious advertisement on CraigsList. The advertisement included information about a 51-year-old "sugar daddy" seeking a Dartmouth female student between the ages of 18 and 22. This claim is not being investigated by Hanover Police.
Jan. 27, 11:53 p.m.
East Wheelock Street
Hanover Police noticed a suspicious vehicle driving on East Wheelock Street. There appeared to be something hanging out of the passenger window, and as the police officer on patrol approached the car, he identified the objects as a male's head and his hockey stick. There was also a male clinging to the passenger side of the car while riding a bicycle. The driver, a 21-year-old male Dartmouth student, received a ticket for negligent driving.
Jan. 28, 1:54 a.m.
Route 120
Hanover Police responded to an alarm activation at Jesse's Restaurant. Upon arriving at the scene, the police noticed evidence of forced entry. The officers called the Lebanon Police Department to provide assistance in a search of the building and found a 24-year-old male inside. The individual was arrested and charged with burglary and driving under the influence. He was released from jail on $10,000 bail and will appear in court on March 16.

Massachusetts Row
Hanover Police received a call from Dartmouth Safety and Security regarding an intoxicated 19-year-old male Dartmouth student. The student was acting belligerent and combative, and Hanover Police had to forcefully drag him from Thayer Dining Hall to an officer's cruiser. While being searched, the student repeatedly spat on the police car and threatened to kill the officer. He also tried to pull away while being handcuffed. The student was wearing a woman's coat that was later identified as having been stolen from a fraternity. He was arrested for unlawful possession and intoxication and may also be charged with theft. A court date for the student is pending.
Jan. 31, 6:12 a.m.
Rope Ferry Road
Safety and Security transported an 18-year-old male Dartmouth student to Dick's House, as he appeared to be intoxicated. Safety and Security later called Hanover Police requesting assistance. The student was taken to the Hanover Police Department and then transported to Grafton County Jail because of his belligerent behavior. The student had previously been arrested for unlawful possession and intoxication on Jan. 10, and had been scheduled to complete the diversion program. As he was arrested again prior to completing the program, he is no longer eligible for diversion, and will face both charges in court on March 16.
