School Street
Hanover Police received a call from the reverend of the Edgerton House Episcopal Campus Ministry regarding a criminal threat. A note, reading, "You are all going to die in seven days," was found wedged in the entry door. Hanover Police is still investigating the case and has not yet named any suspects.
February 12, 4:53 p.m.
South Main Street
An employee at JuliAna's Boutique notified Hanover Police that a teenage girl had reportedly stolen two dresses from the store. The suspect and another girl, who were both about 16 years old, were acting suspiciously while shopping. Hanover Police is still investigating the case and is reviewing the store's security videotapes.
February 13, 1:15 a.m.
Webster Avenue
Hanover Police responded to a fire alarm at Kappa Kappa Kappa fraternity. While there, an officer saw a male student fall down the stairs and called an ambulance for assistance. The student, who was later identified as a member of the Class of 2011, was transported to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. He was later issued a summons to appear in court on March 16 for unlawful possession of alcohol and intoxication.
February 13, 2:46 p.m.
Webster Avenue
Hanover Police received a complaint from a female Dartmouth student regarding a dog bite. The student said she had gone to a fraternity to see a band the night before and was bitten in the knee by a black dog. Hanover Police investigated her claim and found that the dog belongs to Phi Delta Alpha fraternity. Members of the fraternity received a summons to appear in court for having a vicious dog.
February 14, 12:24
Choate Road
Safety and Security requested the assistance of Hanover Police in locating a 19-year-old male Dartmouth student who had reportedly hit his head at Chi Gamma Epsilon fraternity earlier that evening. The student was found in the Choates residence hall cluster. Officers believed the student was intoxicated, and an ambulance was called to transport him to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. He refused transport to the hospital and was instead taken to Dick's House. Hanover Police later arrested the student for unlawful possession of alcohol, and intoxication and issued him a summons to appear in court on March 16.
February 14, 1:04 a.m.
Fayerweather Hill Road
A Hanover Police officer on patrol noticed illegal fireworks being lit in front of Dartmouth Hall. The officer approached the scene, but by the time he arrived, the students had run away and left the rest of their fireworks behind. The case is not being investigated further.
