February 16, 2:54 a.m.

North Main Street

A Hanover Police officer on patrol noticed a male rolling a table down the sidewalk of North Main Street. Considering the behavior to be suspicious, the officer approached the male and identified him as a member of the Class of 2009. The student claimed that he was moving his art project from the studio. The officer did not question the student further.

February 17, 12:20 p.m.

Valley Road

A 50-year-old male resident informed Hanover Police that he had previously received harassing text messages from a phone number he could not identify. Some of the text messages read, "Judge not and you shall not be judged" and "I am an angel from heaven and you are the chosen one." Hanover Police investigated this claim and found that a male from White River Junction, Vt. was responsible for sending the texts. He claimed that he had been messaging random phone numbers. The police are not investigating the case further.

February 20, 1:33 p.m.

South Main Street

Hanover Police received a complaint from an employee at Spheris Gallery regarding suspicious phone calls. A man called twice, asking to speak with the director of the art gallery. The man said, in strangely slow and soft tone according to the employee, that he wanted to come into the gallery naked. Hanover Police is not investigating the case, as the phone calls could not be traced.

February 22, 12:33 a.m.

Rope Ferry Road

Hanover Police responded to an ambulance request to transport a 19-year-old female Dartmouth student from Dick's House. The student, who seemed to be intoxicated, was brought to Dartmouth-Hitchcock Medical Center. She received a summons to appear in court on April 6, but is not eligible for the diversions program as she had been arrested twice previously in 2008 for unlawful possession and intoxication.

February 23, 9:41 a.m.

Rope Ferry Road

Safety and Security contacted Hanover Police about a theft of approximately $500 from Byrne Hall, the Tuck School of Business's dining facility. Hanover Police has identified the theft as internal to the College and is still investigating the case.
