Lyme Road

Hanover Police arrested and charged a 16-year-old male for facilitating a "drug and underage-alcohol party" after hosting a house party on Sept. 26. Neighbors called the police after observing unsupervised teenagers in the back of the house, which is usually unoccupied. Police found through investigation that the home is a second residence of the subject's family and that the subject used the vacant house to host the party.

Lyme Road

Hanover Police arrested a 44-year-old female for negligent driving after her ex-boyfriend filed a complaint that the subject drove directly at him while he was riding his motorcycle. The report claims that the subject stopped just short of hitting the man's left leg with her vehicle. Police investigated the situation after the woman had already left the scene and returned to her home in Vermont. Because Vermont is a non-extraditable state, officers were forced to make negotiations with the woman to return to New Hampshire for hearings.

Lebanon Steet

What began as an ordinary motor vehicle stop for speeding led to the arrests of 10 individuals, identified by police as illegal immigrants. After identifying the driver, the officer noticed some suspicious activity by the 13 passengers in the rear of the van. Police found that 10 of the 13 passengers in the van, returning from a work site in Hanover, were illegal immigrants, the majority of whom were from Guatemala. The remaining three passengers were in the country legally. Hanover Police will turn the accused illegal immigrants over to U.S. Border Patrol until their hearings with the federal district court.

Officers responded to a call of suspicious persons or activity in the Pine Knoll Cemetery. They arrived to find two individuals engaging in sexual intercourse in a parked car. The male and female both confirmed they were consenting adults, and officers told them to find somewhere other than the cemetery to engage in such activities.
