To the Editor:
It was reassuring to read that Daniel Chiu '09 ("Taking One Step Forward," Oct. 4) appreciates Dartmouth's unique charm as much as us "first-choicers." Nobody wants a student body that wishes it were spending four years elsewhere. If the magic of Hanover can convert even the Rankings Worshipers, Dartmouth's close-knit, compassionate community will always remain just that.
