To the Editor,
While I am fully aware of the benefits of being able to step back and look objectively at what we hold sacred and sincere, I do not think that Friday's "Guy and Fellow" cartoon came even close to an excuse to blaspheme a figure who is, for many people on this campus and in this world, Lord and Savior. Heintz displayed absolutely no wit, no understanding of the situation, and no respect of others. To critique our Student Body President's public choices is one thing; to ridicule his religion (and hence, other believers as well) is another altogether.
I had higher expectations of this paper. I hope you will redeem yourselves in the future.
