To the Editor:
Alice Taubes '08's comments ("Maybe Summers was Right," May 18) deliver one ace for gender equality.
Not only are men capable of outstandingly reductive reasoning (Summers), but women are as well.
Apparently an omniscient, pre-pubescent Taubes knows all and sees all regarding the Harvard math department. "There just isn't any sexism. At all."
Never will be, never was? Why? Just because?
Why should Taubes go into science or math? She seems pretty clairvoyant to me.
