Defining Science

To the Editors:

In response to "Reasonable Religious Faith" (Feb. 22), creationism has no place in a science curriculum because it is not science. Any speculation about an original or ultimate cause is always fitting in a philosophy or theology curriculum. The really interesting question focuses not so much on whether the Big Bang or cellular complexity prove an originating intelligence, but rather why there is something and not nothing.
