To the Editor:
I am writing to correct a mistake in your article ("Rock the Vote slams draft at rally," The Dartmouth, October 25) about Jehmu Greene's appearance at Dartmouth this past Saturday. Rock the Vote is not owned by MTV, although we occasionally work with them. The College Republicans who protested against us at the MTV offices in Los Angeles were mistaken as well. MTV's voter registration effort is called "Choose or Lose."
In addition, although others at the rally may have supported one candidate in particular, Rock the Vote is a non-partisan organization and we endorse no candidate. Our goal is to ensure that young people participate in the political process, no matter what they believe or for whom they choose to vote.
