To the Editor:
First, Mr. Langevin's statement ("Diversity According to Wright," The Dartmouth, September 29) that copies of The New York Times and The Boston Globe are the only newspapers available to students through the newspaper program is simply erroneous. In addition to these papers, The Financial Times of London and USA Today are also available on a daily basis. The Wall Street Journal is not available as a selection because the company currently refuses to distribute papers through our program.
Secondly, the newspaper program that Mr. Langevin cited is run not by the College administration, but by a program started by the Student Assembly. Thus, his assertion that President Wright is hypocritical because of the program's presence is misguided on two counts.
