To the Editors:
I'm writing in response to Chris Galiardo's op-ed, "Women's Choice: Beyond Abortion" on (The Dartmouth, Feb. 12). His article contained one major flaw: He mistook Plan B for R.U. 486. The latter is a 'chemical abortion' and thus, understandably opposed by pro-lifers. (R.U. 486, as far as I know, is NOT prescribed by Dick's House, while Plan B is) Plan B is just strong doses of birth control which could stop conception if it hasn't already occurred, while it does not induce an abortion or affect the fetus in any way if the woman is already pregnant. Plan B is only an after-the-fact birth control, not a "chemical abortion."
