To the Editor:
To the readers who took offense at Ms. Drachman-Jones' article -- Get over it! It wasn't about you! It was about a vacation on a tropical island. So you were shoveling snow while she was beaching it. This does not make you better people.
The author wrote a set piece on a Caribbean idyl. The piece I read was simply attempting (and pretty much succeeding) to describe her break -- and to weave a thread of irony into it -- that the "luxury" of the vacation wasn't in the thickness of a resort hotel's towels, but in the time spent with family and some good reads.
