To the Editor:
We would like to express our sincerest gratitude to the students, alumni, faculty members and staff of Dartmouth College for the support they have provided to our teams during the past 45 days. The letters, emails, phone calls, op-eds and, most importantly, voices at the rallies both touched us and strengthened our resolve during this difficult time. We wish to extend special thanks to our parents for seeing us through every day and exhibiting such passion through tireless efforts to help our teams. Members of the swimming and diving community across the nation have also been instrumental in proving the value of the sports of swimming and diving--the qualities they instill and the type of people they create.
We appreciate the opportunity to work the administration in order to reach this point of reinstatement. The Student Assembly's support and guidance proved invaluable during these discussions with the administration.
Yesterday Dartmouth proved it is the Dartmouth we know it and love it to be. We hope you will share this spirit with us at our remaining home meets this winter (Jan. 17,18, 23, 25, 26 and Feb. 1). A voice cried out in the wilderness and it was heard. Thank you.
