To the Editor:
I loved Ms. Kipp's March 1 article, The Dartmouth, "Ben Stein's Day Off: Renowned Comedian Comes to Novack," about me, but a few small corrections are in order. First, my shoes are Simples, not Vans. The ultimate in chic for eighth graders and for 57-year-old men who are on their feet all day asking questions on a quiz show. Second, the quote I expected every Dartmouth student to know is, "It is a small college but there are those who love it," spoken of Dartmouth by, I believe, Daniel Webster. Also, a Ms. Beam at the front desk directed me to the fine cafe, and for this she deserves high praise. I loved my interlude in the library. My new plan is for my son, super wrestler and ace lacrosse player, to go to Dartmouth, although Williams, my father's alma mater, is already fighting for him. I also want to say I saw a young woman with the most vividly red hair I have ever seen in that caf, although I did not speak to her. If she can, she should sell the secret of that color and then she can afford to send herself to Dartmouth.
