To the Editor:
As a freshman from a metropolitan area of California, small-town New England life has been a refreshing change. I feel safe at anytime and anywhere here, comfortable leaving my door open for a little while. Trust is what makes a community strong, and when the administration loses trust in the students it takes such time and care to select, we will begin to lose trust in each other. Then we lose what is special about Dartmouth, what no other Ivy League school, no matter how much higher their applicant numbers are, can dare to dream to have.
