To the Editor:
I continue to be amazed at how some folks, including Ryan Meuse ("Bemused At Stanford," The Dartmouth, May 9th,) continue to level the "political correctness" charge at those who fight back against racism, sexism and homophobia. It is not politically correct to say that date rape humor has no place on campus, and it is not politically correct to say that harassment has no place on campus. If you want to argue about whether affirmative action and the Equal Rights Amendment are good or bad, that is your right. Dartmouth is a private college that strives, commendably, to uphold basic values of respect and responsibility among fellow human beings. But if you don't play fair, be prepared to accept the consequences.
