To the Editor:
It seems finally that the Greek system has run its course? After having supported the Greeks throughout my time in Hanover, your article about "The Zetemouth" has become that last straw to push me over to the other side. I have always seen the value of friendships made and immediate community. Can we really say, though, that those good things balance out the ideas and feelings that foster within a group and eventually play themselves out in a piece of despicable literature such as "The Zetemouth?" It would be foolish, at this point, to try and look at this most recent incident as isolated.
For every individual whose character is enhanced by joining a house, it seems there is at least one more whose character becomes impoverished. Perhaps it is time to forsake the community created by the Greek system in order to salvage any community spirit left for the College as a whole.
