To the Editor:
While the Zeta Psi fraternity brothers are probably not people that I would want to date, I feel that derecognizing the fraternity on the basis of their sexually explicit and evidently widely offensive paper is ridiculous. I understand that being named in such a publication would be highly embarrassing and that some of the topics mentioned are unacceptable to female students, but whatever happened to free speech? Maybe I'm wrong, but I thought you were allowed to say and write whatever you wanted in private company. Derecognizing the frat would be a knee-jerk over-reaction to something that was supposed to be a stupid sophomoric prank. Let them act like they want to; at least people will know who they are and to avoid them.
