The allegations levied against Zeta Psi fraternity are very disturbing to the Coed Fraternity Sorority Council. Every organization must hold its members accountable to a standard that reflects the values and principles of the group. Though the details of this case have not yet been fully revealed, the nature of the accusations thus far are so offensive and egregious that behavior of this kind, on the part of individuals or a group, is intolerable. The alleged actions are not part of and will not be accepted by the Greek system at large. If the allegations prove true, then we must treat them with the gravity and seriousness deemed necessary.
We must keep in mind though, that there is a pending Judiciary Committee and Office of Residential Life investigation into the matter. If the house is found responsible, the severity of the accusations would potentially necessitate a de-recognition level hearing. We, as a community of Greek organizations, will not support acts of intimidation or disrespect, by Zeta Psi or any organization, like what has been alleged.
