The Dartmouth

Campus (De)recognition

To the Editor:

I want to express my absolute disgust regarding the abhorrent behavior conducted by the Zeta Psi fraternity. I can't believe that a very reputable institution such as Dartmouth College would allow and condone this kind of sexual harassment towards women on the campus. It's been six years since I've graduated from college and I have many friends who participated in the Greek system. I have tried to keep an open mind over the years about the behaviors of fraternities and sororities, but this incident has finally made me lose hope in the Greek system as a whole.

I ask the administration at Dartmouth College: so is this a matter of semantics? Public versus private usage? It doesn't matter if these articles were intended for internal or external use because the damage has been done. The fact that these young men felt it was "okay" and "entertaining" to publish these articles for their "viewing pleasure" is abhorrent in itself.

I feel very sorry for the female students of Dartmouth. I feel great sadness that these women were and continue to be subjected to such despicable and disgusting behavior by the members of Zeta Psi.

Based on what has transpired on your campus, I no longer view Dartmouth as a reputable institution.
