To the Editor:
I read Carol Olsen's comment in the story on Friday, March 2 in The Dartmouth. Carol Olsen, despite her elected position, does not speak for our town. She did not "distinguish herself as a professional" with her comments. My personal belief, as a townsperson and a citizen of this country, is that everyone is innocent unless or until a jury states otherwise. Ms. Olsen's comments just divide our community further and impede the healing process. If she chooses to state her personal thoughts and feelings as a member of this community or as a parent that is her right, but please don't accept them as the thoughts and feelings expressed by the entire town.
