Suspects spotted in New Jersey

10:40 p.m.: Robert Tulloch and James Parker are believed to have been spotted in New Jersey, and may be headed to California, according to the New Hampshire Attorney General's office.

Authorities said Tulloch, 17, and Parker, 16, may have been seen at a truck stop in Columbia, N. J., at approximately 10:00 a.m. on Saturday.

The police offered more detailed descriptions of the two teenagers: Parker is described as white, 6 feet tall, 150 lbs., with brown eyes and dark brown spiked hair. He may be wearing a dark blue coat, brown hiking boots and a dark ski cap. He may also be using the first name of Tyler or Taylor.

Tulloch is described as white, 6'1", 155 lbs., with blue eyes and dyed blond hair. He may be wearing "BDU" (military-style) pants with large pockets, black high top sneakers and a long, light brown jacket. He may also be using the first name of Sam. He may have a throat infection.

The four-door Audi driven by the two teenagers was found earlier today in Sturbridge, Mass.

Massachusetts State Police Sergent Dale Kiley told The Dartmouth that the silver 1987 Audi with Vermont license plates was found at approximately 10:20 a.m. today in the parking lot of the Sturbridge Isle truck stop.

The truckstop is located off Interstate 84 in Sturbridge -- 150 miles from Hanover and about two miles from the Connecticut border.

Kiley said the car belonging to Parker's mother was apparently abandoned in the parking lot. It was covered with a "dusting of snow," he said.

Kiley said the car was found by State Trooper Walter Combs this morning, but authorities are not sure how long it has been parked at the truckstop. He said Combs had been actively looking for the car when he found it.

Kiley said the New Hampshire state police and the Federal Bureau of Investigation are in Sturbridge now inspecting the car.

The New Hampshire Attorney General's office issued a press release at 2:58 p.m. today, confirming that the car had been found. The release said Tulloch and Parker have not been found.
