To the Editor:
I, too, am greatly saddened by the passing of Professor Dana Meadows. As a freshman and one of her advisees, I was inspired by her insight and wisdom applied to analyzing environmental and social policy issues. As Director of the Bureau of Land & Water Quality in Maine Department of Environmental Protection, I can say that I apply -- every single day -- the systems thinking principles I learned from Dana. I continue to be inspired by her commitment to sustainability in all of my professional work. I truly owe much of my success to the skills I learned in her courses and seminars. Thank you, Dana. What a contribution you have made to this planet!
