Praise for Investigators

To the Editor:

I believe the police have been very smart from the beginning of this investigation. My opinion is that they knew more than they were willing to reveal, and I respected this very much. All we have to do is reflect on the Jon-Benet Ramsey murder case and how every detail was circulated to and funneled through the media. It became a total mockery of what our judicial system is supposed to be.

I own a home in the Upper Valley area, and am temporarily living in Annapolis. I will be returning soon to what I believe to be the safest and most beautiful place there is.

As a daughter of a superior court judge, I was brought up to try and weigh all the facts and to let the system work. I realize we cannot jump to any conclusions, but there has been reported that there is solid, personal evidence at the crime scene. While it is horrendous to believe these boys may have killed the Zantops; and, frankly it makes one wonder if that may be the case, we have to wait and try not to judge them.

My hat is off to the Hanover Police Department, the New Hampshire Attorney and Deputy Attorney General and the FBI.

If these boys are found guilty, it is a tragic commentary on the values this country was founded on. Let's wait for all the facts in this tragedy to unravel.
