To the Editor:
It was with great regret that I learned that
Coach O'Leary has decided to take his coaching skills and infectious personality to another university. As the parent of a student at Dartmouth I wholeheartedly want to wish him success in his new endeavor. It was due to Coach's warmth and sincerity that eventually was the deciding factor on my son attending Dartmouth and his first year to this point has been an absolutely wonderful experience. I believe it would be appropriate for The Dartmouth to wish him a fond farewell in your newspaper as he helped keep the program in the national spotlight with his untiring recruitment of players and his deft eye for talent. I wish Coach luck and I thoroughly hope that the University does all in its power to actively pursue a coach of the same caliber and quality.
