To the Editor:
Tragic news of the murders of Mr. and Mrs. Zantop reached the ends of the earth at the southwest corner of western Australia. Having spent two years at Dartmouth as a postdoc, I am shocked by the violent nature of the deliberate tragedy. Although, not having met the Zantops, I can understand how such a close-knit community such as Hanover might have been rocked by it. I would like to convey my condolences to the Hanover community at large and particularly to Dartmouth College for the loss of two fine professors and for the violent intrusion of their deaths.
