To the Editor:
As the student leaders of Christian groups on campus, we denounce the tracts sent to various campus leaders last week as extremely offensive, hurtful and insensitive. We in no way support the abusive messages, and sympathize with the receivers of these hateful pamphlets.
Furthermore, we are deeply saddened that the message of Christianity may be sullied by the misdeeds of a few. Our aim is to express our faith in Jesus Christ in love and with utmost gentleness and respect. We desire peaceful, considerate and open relations with all individuals and organizations, and we hope that this incident will not impede the realization of that goal.
