To the Editor:
If the goal is to bring Dartmouth students closer together then the first step should be to wipe out the D-plan. It is the single force which alienates students from each other consistently and throughout college. In no way does it unify the sophomore class -- it's nothing more than a gimmick to squeeze in more students. Until the D-plan is gone, there should be no serious talk about building a close-knit community. To hear such a sweeping social-oriented reform from the man who created the D-plan is complete hypocrisy.
