To the Editor:
In the August 26 issue of The Dartmouth, the article "Moose to appear at games, reunions" and the notion that a mascot will "finally give the community something to rally behind and really cheer for" is witless at best. I can't see why we would prefer that a moose rouse the crowd rather than the athletes' accomplishments.
Achieveing mindless cheering seems hardly an achievement at all. I, for one, will ignore this moose.
