Love from Barcelona for the Dartmouth LSA

To the Editor:

We are two Spanish students from Barcelona, you know, that city very far away from the United States, across the ocean, that some of the students at your university do not know. We are just kidding, of course, but only because in Barcelona we met the group of Dartmouth students that came for three months to study Spanish at the University of Barcelona. They only knew that Barcelona has got lots of beaches! And it was a miracle that they knew that the Olympic Games were here in 1992. Perhaps you should teach them some geography before they take a plane to some far away place in the world. It seemed like they were trying hard to know where Spain is. You also should tell them that Europe, apart from being a big continent, cannot be seen in three days.

I hope you will not get angry at us. Although everything is true, we are joking. We love the friends we met a lot. It has been very interesting to learn things about your university and your way of life, and it has also been very educational and didactic to discover how the relationship between boys and girls work there, which is really, really different from here. We are not as ... how should we say it ... direct? In fact, we enjoyed our time with them so much that we left home for three days to stay with them during their last days on our continent. It was really funny because our parents discovered everything, but in the end, nothing happened. We enjoyed the experience a lot and we will never forget it (after all, it will be very difficult to meet them again). Thank you for everything.

We would like to send a hug and a big kiss to them, especially to Eliana Marcenaro, Ryoji Takeyama, Rodrigo Mazon, Ernesto and Michael (who is very good at math and a gentleman, although Ernesto disagrees. Do you remember the rose Ernesto?) They are all "buenos pedos."
