Dartmouth Moose? Why Not Take on the Name Loraxes Instead

To the Editor:

I read about the possible changing of mascots from the Green to the moose, and I was wondering why Dartmouth doesn't change its mascot to one of the Dr. Seuss characters. The Dartmouth Loraxes sounds a bit more interesting than the moose, I think, and not too many colleges can boast having a cartoon character as a mascot. Besides, Dr. Seuss is one of the most touted famous Dartmouth people, right? Just a suggestion from an incoming freshman.
