The Dartmouth Review, The Sports Weekly, BLD and the Jack O'Lantern recently announced the editors who will take over during Spring term.
A.J. Monaco '98 will replace James Panero '98 as editor of The Dartmouth Review, an off-campus conservative weekly. Monaco said he worked closely with Panero as executive editor of the Review and does not plan to make many changes to the format of the paper.
Monaco said he welcomes the responsibility of editing the weekly paper. "I'm very excited," he said. "We have a lot of great freshmen and should have a lot of fun in the spring."
Ted Weihman '98 will take the helm at The Sports Weekly.
Jonathan Hurst '98 will begin his work as editor of BLD, a nonpartisan publication intended to stimulate intellectual discussion, this spring.
Shannon Jarosh '98, BLD's new president, said she has plans to "diversify the [publication's] pool of writers."
Uncommon Threads will not announce an editor, because it does not have a hierarchical editorial board, said Kytja Weir '98, a member of the feminist "collective."
Nathan Chaney '00 and Kevin Goldman '99 will replace Chris Miller '97 and Emily Soden '97 as the editor and publisher of the Jack O' Lantern. It is not year clear which editor will fill which position.
The Beacon, a College-recognized, conservative newspaper does not currently have plans to replace Editor Adam Mirick '99, said Michael New '97, the paper's senior editor.
