To the Editor:
In response to Sam Bonderoff's most recent article ["Pick a Major, Part II," Feb. 25, 1997, The Dartmouth] in which he likens an Earth Sciences major to something "even more dull" than an Economics major, I would simply like to add a few words of clarity. First and foremost, CLEARLY, the act of climbing active volcanoes is outright lame, boring and uninteresting. In addition, the act of attempting to make sense of any process associated with the planet which we inhabit is just absurd! I think it's quite obvious why Bonderoff doubts the validity of this major. If it's not too late, I'd like to switch my major to Economics. At least this way I'll be a little more exciting! HA!
