Married housing is the only option for some

To the Editor:

Dear Dean of the College Lee Pelton, Office of Residential Life and any Dartmouth student, will you marry me?I am asking this for one reason -- housing. Married housing ismy only available option for next year.I am a '98 with a housing number in the millions -- at least it might as well be there -- and am planning to be on next fall and spring. As the College has wisely decided to revamp the housing assignments, I have no chance of getting housing.I cannot get any type of lease for off campus housing, since I am using that thing called the Dartmouth Plan, one of the reasons I chose Dartmouth.Score another one for ORL.Now the entire Class of 1998 has no D-plan use, that is if they want to live within a 20-mile radius of Dartmouth.

I am forbidden by College rules from living in a Greek house next fall, so Dean Pelton, how 'bout shacking up with me for married housing?I'm not sure if Dartmouth allows for homosexual married housing, but if not Rukmini Sichitiu '95 and SA are planning to spend all of their time dealing with this "Important and vital aspect of the new housing plan which affects all of us."Thanks a lot, my options are now broader than ever.
