Panarchy Free of Political Advocacy

To the Editor:

In your article, "Some flock to rush while others oppose," (Sept. 29), you wrote "Sean Donahue '96 and other members of Panarchy, an undergraduate society, began distributing pamphlets asking women and men interested in rush to reconsider their position." This is misleading -- not all of the people involved in making and distributing the flyers were members of Panarchy -- in fact, at least half of the people involved were not Panarchists. And, more importantly, Panarchy was not involved in the action in any way -- Panarchy is primarily a social organization and does not take stands on political issues. While many of our members do believe the Greek system should be abolished, not all Panarchists hold that position -- may simply feel that they do not want to participate in the system.
