While the season ended a week ago for both the Dartmouth men's and women's squash teams, three team members represented the College at individual competitions this past weekend.
Russell Echlov '97 represented the Big Green men's team in the NISRA Championships at Brown University. Echlov advanced to the round of 16 before loosing Saturday afternoon.
"Realistically I was only hoping to win my first round," Echlov said. "I was very lucky that I had a good draw. I was happy with the way I played in the second round. I lost the next round, not surprisingly, but was still happy with the way I played."
For the women, Sascha Greatrex '95 and Melissa McCollum '96 traveled to Williams College to compete in the WISRA Championship.
McCollum fought to a victory and suffered a loss in the consolation round, while Greatrex had two victories and a loss before being eliminated by Yale University's Amy Epstein in a five match battle.
"Sascha played really well this weekend," McCollum said. "She totally dominated her first two opponents and had an exciting five game match with her opponent from Yale. I definitely would have preferred going further in the tournament, but I'll hopefully have another chance next year."
