Underclassmen step up to give men's soccer late-season win

The Dartmouth men's soccer team put on a high-scoring show with the help of its freshmen on Saturday night, as the Big Green beat Cornell, 5-2, in Ithaca, N.Y. Cornell's Matt Bouraee had a big night with two goals, but Dartmouth rookie Lucky Mkosana '12 did him one better, netting a hat trick as the Big Green pulled away for an important win. After improving to 10-5-1 (4-1-1 Ivy), Dartmouth kept itself in the race for a piece of the Ivy League title and a likely at-large NCAA tournament bid.

Men's soccer storms out of the gate to best Columbia, 3-1

The Dartmouth men's soccer team bounced back in a big way Saturday afternoon as the Big Green took a commanding 3-1 victory from Columbia University in New York City. Columbia scored in the final minutes of play to get on the board, but the late effort was not enough after a two-goal day by forward Lucky Mkosana '12. The victory moves Dartmouth to 7-5-1 (2-1-1 Ivy), while Columbia drops to 3-10-1 (1-3-0 Ivy). The Big Green is now in fourth place in the conference, while the Lions are in seventh place.

Second-half surge not enough for men's soccer against Penn

On a frigid Homecoming night, the Dartmouth men's soccer team lost its first home game of the season to Ivy League foe the University of Pennsylvania, 1-0, Saturday in Hanover. The loss dropped Dartmouth to 6-5-1 (1-1-1 Ivy), while the Quakers improved to 8-2-3 (2-1-0 Ivy). The Big Green is now tied for fourth place in the Ivy standing with Princeton, while Penn sits in a tie for second place with Brown.

Donnie Surdoval '10 provided Dartmouth's lone goal in a 2-1 loss to UConn on Wednesday. The Big Green has not won a road game since September 7.
