Announcing the winners of The D Sports Awards 2019-20

In this year's The D Sports Awards, six of the top rookies, six of the top moments, five of the top female athletes and five of the top male athletes at Dartmouth were pitted against each other. After three separate rounds of voting, The Dartmouth is excited to announce Makenzie Arent '23, the Big Green football team, Katie Spanos '20 and Drew O'Connor '22 as the winners of this year's awards.

The D Sports Awards: Female and Male Athletes of the Year

In the final voting round of The D Sports Awards, The Dartmouth sports section has selected five nominees for Female Athlete of the Year and five nominees for Male Athlete of the Year. In order to vote, students and community members can click on the link in the article to cast a single ballot. The results for all awards will be revealed next Tuesday, June 2.

Senior Spring: Annie McKenna provides offensive spark for women’s basketball team

After two years of battling injuries and playing primarily off the bench, point guard Annie McKenna ’20 was ready to make the most of her final two years with the women’s basketball team. She did just that, leading the Big Green this season with 11.5 points and 4.3 assists per game and playing more minutes than any other player in the Ivy League.
