Ten members of the Dartmouth triathlon team competed at the 2024 USA Triathlon Collegiate Club national championship in Mission Viejo, California on April 13 and 14. According to the Dartmouth physical education and recreation website, the race marked the team’s first time at the national championship in its 10-year history.

Dartmouth Men’s Hockey finished out the season on a seven-game win streak — their longest streak in nine years — propelling the Big Green from ninth in the ECAC Hockey standings to fourth. After beating Union College in the ECAC quarterfinals, the Big Green lost to No. 14 Cornell University at the Hockey Championship Weekend on March 22. It was the Big Green’s first appearance in the ECAC semifinals since the 2015-2016 season.

After a weekend when Dartmouth successfully secured home ice in the opening round of the ECAC playoffs, men’s ice hockey hosted Brown University on Friday and Yale University for Senior Night on Saturday to end regular season play. The Big Green finished victorious in both games, defeating Brown 5-3 and Yale 4-1 to snatch the last, first-round bye in the ECAC playoffs.

This weekend, men’s hockey hosted Eastern College Athletic Conference opponents Clarkson University and St. Lawrence University at Thompson Arena. The Big Green shut out the Golden Knights 3-0 and tied the Saints 4-4. The Big Green then won the six-round shoot-out against St. Lawrence to gain a point in the Ivy League standings.

This past weekend, men’s hockey hosted ECAC opponents Colgate University and No. 13 Cornell University at Thompson Arena. The Big Green took both games to overtime, losing 3-4 to Colgate but beating Cornell in the shoot-out.

This weekend, men’s hockey hosted Union College and Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute. The Big Green fell 1-5 to Union on Friday but defeated RPI 6-2 the following night to improve their record to 5-7-6, 3-4-4.

Despite a tie and a loss this weekend, women’s hockey displayed improvement and determination in their home matchups against No. 11 Princeton University and No. 6 Quinnipiac University. The games were the first two of an 11-game stretch against ECAC opponents that will wrap up the Big Green’s season.

On Saturday night, Dartmouth men’s ice hockey hosted the University of Vermont at Thompson Arena to conclude their non-conference match-ups for the 2023-2024 season. In front of a sold-out crowd, the Big Green pulled through to deliver a 4-3 win over the Catamounts, increasing their record to 4-4-6.

On Friday, Nov. 3, Dartmouth men’s hockey hosted nationally ranked No. 8 Quinnipiac University at Thompson Arena, tying 2-2 and then winning 1-0 in a shootout. The following day, the Big Green defeated the Tigers of Princeton University 5-4, with CJ Foley ’27 scoring the game-winning goal with less than a minute remaining.

From Oct. 20 to 22, the Dartmouth community came together to celebrate Homecoming Weekend and welcome the Class of 2027. For Dartmouth’s nearly 1,000 student-athletes, Homecoming provided a chance to bond with teammates and connect with former players and other alumni.

On Sept. 30, Dartmouth field hockey hosted Brown University for their Ivy League home opener at Chase Field. The Big Green won 2-0, marking their first Ivy League victory since 2018. Previously, the team had a 25-game losing streak in Ivy League play.

Last month, club sports teams held tryouts in search of new players, primarily from the Class of 2027, though all students were welcome. The process began on Sept. 10 at the Student Involvement Fair, where teams set up tables to advertise and introduce themselves to potential new players. In the weeks following the fair, club sports captains sent out emails featuring eye-catching GIFs and brightly colored text as well as important information to attract interested athletes to tryouts.
