This week, the Mirror looks at religion and spirituality on campus. While many students find it difficult to stay in touch with their religions once they've left home, others have developed deeper relationships with their religions while at Dartmouth. Then there are some who choose not to practice any faith at all. Wherever you may fall on this spectrum, we hope this issue gives you a better understanding of religion and spirituality at Dartmouth.

Throughout the day every day Dartmouth's faithful and hardworking employees are making our lives a little easier, whether they are students or FO&M staff.

Thanks to my sorority blitz lists and favorite campus DJs, I've managed to develop a somewhat decent iTunes collection for a girl who's been to both a Britney Spears and Backstreet Boys concert. While my pop music days aren't quite behind me, I'd like to think my music tastes have matured a bit since coming to Dartmouth, expanding to include a variety of techno/rap/remixes that bring out my inner rockstar as I jam to the latest from Kid Cudi or MGMT on repeat in frat basements.

Spring term at Dartmouth is possibly one of the best times of year. However, each June becomes more bittersweet than the last as another class says goodbye to dear ol' Dartmouth, and it gets even closer to being our turn.

Dining at Dartmouth is weird. "Getting a meal" consists of much more than just a plate of General Tso's chicken or a Banana Log wrap. When, where and with whom we'll eat are questions we ask ourselves at least three times a day. Once we've determined lunch will be in Homeplate at 12:20 p.m. -- right before 11s get out so we beat the rush -- and we've secured a prime booth, it's time to make the rounds. Don't act like you don't what we're talking about. Now that we've seen the scene in Home Plate, we obviously need to check out who's lunching with whom at the Pavilion and Food Court ... and oh yeah, what they are serving for lunch, of course...

It's week three, and we are still continuing to find so much in common. We are proud, yet slightly disappointed at the same time, to say we have never been Good Sammed or had a run-in with S&S or H-Po. It's an interesting phenomenon. On the one hand, it's nice to know that we've made it through almost three-fourths of our Dartmouth careers, including the shitshow that was sophomore summer, without a single mark against us. Yet, we can't help but feel like we are missing out on that necessary walk of shame from Dick's House. Nevertheless, there are enough of you out there making up for our lameness. Read on to hear how the rest of campus has more street cred than we do...

Jen and I agree on many things, like how New Year's resolutions suck, The Mirror is the most-read section of The Dartmouth and the fact that our school is awesome. Nevertheless, Jen will jump at any chance she gets to jet home to New Orleans for a weekend. Whereas for me, it's the exact opposite. Being a native of New Jersey probably has a lot to do with it, but really, I've lost all desire to know what's happening in my hometown. Other than seeing my family and catching up with my two best friends, breaks at home are truly painful.

We hate New Year's Resolutions. We always make them, and then we break them, and then we just feel bad about ourselves when late December rolls around and we look back on another failed year. We didn't make it to the gym five times a week, we didn't refrain from doming ourselves and (therefore) we didn't make 4.0's either. So what's the point anyway? Why not ring in 2009 with no plans in mind and see what the new year brings you? That's our plan at least.
