Alessia Cara — Here (Mickey Valen Remix)

Katie Hake: This remix is just as sassy as the original by Canadian singer-songwriter Alessia Cara, with more of a happy andupbeat tinge courtesy of Mickey Valen. The lyrics recall the ambience of the side bench of a frat basement whenyou're acting the observer and really could not care less about joining the scene. "Here" is the 19-year-old artist's lead single on her debut EP, “Four Pink Walls” (2015), the entirety of whichpromises more relatable music coming soon with her first full-length record out later this year.

Jaymay — Autumn Fallin’

Tiantian Zhang: I've decided to take a break from my usual streak of listening to solely EDM — because, you know, it's senior fall and I've mellowed out quite a bit. In thinking of autumnal songs, I came across this old gem. Check out "Autumn Fallin'" by Jaymay for some easygoing, feel-good vibes.

Bassh — Body

Koryn Ternes: "Body" is the first taste of thenew project Bassh, launched by Band of Horses' Bill Reynolds, CJ Hardee of Matrimony and Jimmy Brown. The trio of men has a classic soft rock and pop vibe, and the mesmerizing vocals create a very soothing atmosphere. "Body" is a great introduction to Bassh, and I look forward to what else they will come out with on their upcoming debut album expected to be released at the end of the month.
