After President Barack Obama nominated College President Jim Yong Kim to head the World Bank on Friday, the Twittersphere was aflutter with reactions ranging from congratulatory to hilariously irreverent. #JimYongKim was a trending topic in the hours following the announcement as, tweet after tweet, Twitter users microblogged about the World Bank presidency and its candidates — former Colombian finance minister Jose Antonio Ocampo, Nigerian finance minister Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala and Kim.
