Twittersphere buzzes with reactions to Kim's World Bank tap

After President Barack Obama nominated College President Jim Yong Kim to head the World Bank on Friday, the Twittersphere was aflutter with reactions ranging from congratulatory to hilariously irreverent. #JimYongKim was a trending topic in the hours following the announcement as, tweet after tweet, Twitter users microblogged about the World Bank presidency and its candidates — former Colombian finance minister Jose Antonio Ocampo, Nigerian finance minister Ngozi Okonjo-Iweala and Kim. Many said they were impressed by a video of Kim singing and dancing in the 2011 Dartmouth Idol finals.
