In a pe­ti­tion posted on­line on Sat­ur­day,ap­prox­i­mately 90 alumnide­manded that the Col­lege ad­min­is­tra­tion in­crease ef­forts to curb haz­ing on cam­pus. Among other de­mands, those sign­ing the “Alumni Pe­ti­tion Against Haz­ing and Vi­o­lence” pledged to cease do­na­tions to the Col­lege until more is done to ad­dress haz­ing.

Local World War II vet­er­ansand Dart­mouth alumni re­cently com­piled their mem­o­ries and ex­pe­ri­ences in “World War II Re­mem­bered,” a book of mem­oirs from 56 res­i­dents of the Kendal at Hanover re­tire­ment com­mu­nity pub­lished in Oc­to­ber 2011. The pro­ject was fea­tured on Brian Williams’ NBC Nightly News seg­ment on Feb. 6, adding to its al­ready sub­stan­tial suc­cess.
