"You come in as a freshman and you really think that people expect that much from you, but its important to try to make an impact as quickly as possible to better our chances in the Ivy League championships," Wagner said.
In women's track, Megan Krumpoch '14 finished first in the 800-meter, followed by all Dartmouth athletes in the next five spots. Krumpoch ran a 2:13.56 for first and picked up five points for her team, while Liz Markowitz '16 finished second in 2:13.91.

Both the 4x400-meter and the 4x100-meter relay teams from Dartmouth claimed first on Saturday. The women's 4x100-meter team ran a 48.83, while the 4x400-meter women's team posted a 3:50.78, more than 10 seconds ahead of the event's second-place team.
"It was really nice to run outside," Giordano said. "We have trained inside all winter and some people raced over the spring break trip, but this was my first race of the season."
On the men's side, Brett Buskey '15 won the 100-meter in a personal-best 10.81, while Connor Reilly '13 pulled off a solid 21.62 in the 200-meter to take first place. "I guess as an individual, I would like to get a qualifying time for regionals, but as a team I think the most important thing is that I score at Heps," distance runner Gorman said. "I think that is what everybody's goal is during the season."
The men's team put on a good showing in the field events, highlighted by thrower Dom Filiano '14, who had a dominant day with two first-place showings in the shot put and the discus, throwing 15.70 meters and 44.88 meters, respectively. Although Sara Kikut '16 did not earn a win in any event on Saturday, she did have a strong afternoon, taking third in the 100-meter and second in the 200-meter, and anchoring the winning 4x100-meter relay team.
The team will all be looking forward to Heptagonals in May.
"Individually, I would like to come close to the school record this year, and I really want to win the 400-meter hurdle in the Ivy League championships," Wagner said. "As a team at the Ivy League championships, I want to get a top-four finish, which would be a step up from last year's sixth-place finish."
This was Dartmouth's first and only home meet of the spring season.
"We don't have any more home races, which is too bad because it was really nice to have a home crowd out there," Giordano said.
Both teams will be back in action next Friday and Saturday, at the Sam Howell Invitational hosted by Princeton University.
