Internet Meme of the Week: OK Go and Pilobolus

Some of the best artists in music and dance have capitalized on internet technology to create a truly amazing music video and include their fans in the process.

OK Go and dance troupe Pilobolus have teamed up to make a pioneering music video for OK Go's song "All Is Not Lost." Members of OK Go and Pilobolus dance in spearmint-colored body suits and use kaleidoscope camera effects and splitting windows to create captivating effects. Dancers wiggle sideways across a glass surface, appearing to defy gravity. They wind and unwind their bodies to the rhythm of the music, and the video was nominated for a Grammy for best short-form music video this year.

Several minutes into the video, the screens duplicate into four and then 12 screens that mirror each other as people dance through in elegant patterns to the music.

And even better, there is a version that can be personalized at the website allisnotlo.st. On the site, you can type a message into the text box on the home page, and at the end of the video members of OK Go and Pilobolus walk onto the screen (the image is shot from below a glass floor) to spell out your message with their feet.
