Despite a close loss to Princeton last weekend, the women's team rebounded with strong play in its only away game of the season.

Ashley Afranie-Sakyi '13 led the team, scoring four tries during the game. Seven other players also scored tries for the Big Green, including Ginna Roach '12 and Rita-Louise Montour '13, who each scored two.

Dartmouth quickly asserted its dominance, leading 47-0 at halftime.

Several players stressed the importance of the game against Yale as an opportunity to improve before next week's game against Harvard University.

"This game was a great chance for us to really evaluate ourselves in real time because we weren't as frantic out on the field, so we could actually look at our game as it was happening and ask ourselves OK, what's not right here? What can we be doing better right at this moment?" Roach said. "We're excited to take that and use it in our battle with Harvard for the Final Four berth this weekend."

The women's team faces Harvard on Saturday at 12:30 p.m. in Hanover.

The men's team continued its undefeated League run by beating Princeton and Penn, bringing the Big Green to 6-0 in conference play.Dartmouth could now secure a perfect League season with a win next weekend against Harvard.

Princeton was the League's only other unbeaten team before the teams' matchup on Saturday, but Dartmouth jumped out to an early lead against the Tigers.

Kevin Clark '14 began the offensive barrage, scoring two quick tries. Captain Paul Jarvis '12 also scored early to give the Big Green a 15-0 lead.

Clark continued his offensive performance by adding another try before halftime, giving Dartmouth a 29-7 lead at the break.

The team continued its solid play in the second half, leading by almost 40 points early in the period en route to the 53-21 win.

"Princeton was confident about their chances of surprising us at home, but we clearly solidified our standing as the dominant squad in this League on Saturday through that match," Chris MacNaughton '13 said.

After its win against Princeton, the Big Green was back on the pitch to dominate Penn, 57-5, on Sunday.

Justin Ciambella '13 led the team with four tries and six conversions, accounting for 32 of the team's points.

Dartmouth's dominance in the two matches posed a stark contrast to its narrow win over Brown University last weekend, when the Big Green struggled to dispatch a scrappy Brown side.

"Whenever you can come away with a sweep, especially when both games are blowouts and one opponent is the second-best team in the Ivy League, you won't have too many complaints," Clark said.

MacNaughton said Dartmouth's teamwork set it apart during the Princeton match.

"Each part of our team play came together in a way that simply hadn't occurred before, and to date, I believe it was our best match," he said. "Although we won on Sunday, I don't think we played nearly as crisply and with as much passion as the prior day. We need to bring intensity to each of next week's practice sessions in order to achieve the potential that our young squad can this fall season."

Dartmouth plays Harvard on Saturday at 10 a.m. at Brophy Field in Hanover.
