Hear and Now: Bieber Fever Sweeps the Nation

What is it about Justin Bieber that makes him so irresistible? Is it his perfectly coiffed, side-swept modern day bowl cut? His skater-chic wardrobe?

Supernatural hair aside, "Bieber Fever" seems to have grabbed hold of all of us. It must be the teen pop star's knack with words that has generated a frenzy among tweens (and some college students) everywhere. Everything Bieber sings in his silky androgynous voice skyrockets to the top of the Hot 100 list, not to mention that he may also become the next J.K. Rowling in the making. Harper Collins announced yesterday that Bieber is publishing his very own memoir, proving that he has many experiences to share after 16 years on this planet and that he knows how to use colons. "Justin Bieber: My First Step 2 Forever: My Story" is due for release on Oct. 22.

The book will feature unreleased photographs and chronicle his journey towards stardom. Bieber explained his motivations behind writing an autobiography in a recent press release.

"Every day I wake up and count my blessings," Bieber said in the release. "My fans have played such a large part in all of this and they help me live my dreams every day. I'm excited to share just a little bit more of my world with them through this book. Between the behind-the-scenes pictures and the story, I think this is going to be something they can all enjoy. This is just another way for me to say thank you to my fans."

With such eloquence in just a few sentences, who wouldn't want to read a book filled with more of the same?

His memoir will chronicle his rise to fame from videos that his mother posted on YouTube to his relationship with mentor Usher to how he deals with life in a world full of managers and agents as a teen. Maybe he'll even throw in a few tidbits about his thoughts on the national rumor that he had syphilis or that he was dating Kim Kardashian.

In addition to this autobiography, Bieber plans to unveil even more of the back-story behind his success through film. The movie, based on Bieber's life, is a purportedly 8-Mile-esque biopic, starring Bieber as a character who basically plays himself just as Eminem did. A studio exec joked that it will be called "4 Mile" or "Half Mile."

Also slated for release in October is a comic book. "Fame: Justin Bieber" will depict Bieber's rise to celebrity status through illustrations. By the time next year rolls around, it's doubtful whether there will be a single aspect of the pop sensation's journey to success that will remain unknown.

Although Bieber has big plans of being an author/actor/comic-book-figure, he doesn't intend to abandon his first love of singing. He is currently on his My World tour and continues to tweet excessively from his Twitter account @JustinBieber.
